We’ve been taught to grieve and separate. No wonder rebirth terrifies our nervous systems. As we close the Year of the Snake and approach the Year of the Horse, I’m watching so many women mourn versions of themselves as if shedding were just another performance to keep up with. As if naming failures were an ending. As if their new maturity came at a loss. But what if we remembered something older? What if death was never meant to be loud, dramatic, traumatic, or violent? What if instead? It were meant to be reverent? In many ancient cultures, death wasn’t exile. It was continuity. Nothing was discarded. Nothing was abandoned. What no longer fit was integrated, not erased. And suddenly this makes sense: Why dying to an old self feels terrifying in a culture obsessed with separation. Why we cling. Why we dramatise endings. Why we fear maturity. Because we were never taught how to honour what we are becoming without betraying who we were. I’ve lived lifetimes, in this body and others, in which priestesses were exiled for holding this truth. And I see now how deeply that exile lives in our nervous system systems as abandonment wounds. So let me say this clearly: You don’t need to grieve your old self like a tragedy. You don’t need to put her on display, burn her, shame her, or disown her to move forward. You get to send her off with love. You get to keep her wisdom. You get to mature, not disappear. Rebirth is not annihilation. It’s refinement. I want to name something that rarely gets spoken about clearly in spiritual spaces. When someone copies another woman’s work.. Her language, her offer name, her energetic positioning.. It’s almost never because she’s malicious. It’s usually fear. Sometimes admiration. Often confusion about how service, abundance, and embodiment actually work. But here is the energetic truth: You cannot build prosperity through codes you are not living. You cannot magnetize clients through frequencies you are not embodying. And you cannot sustain success through someone else’s channel. Unity consciousness exists on a macro level. On the micro level, you are here as an individual with a specific contribution.
